For Sunday and Monday, February February 22nd and 23rd, 2026:There is a Winter Storm Watch in effect beginning Sunday morning and into Monday afternoon.
Blizzard conditions are anticipated with accumulations of 10 -13 inches of snow and winds gusts up to 45 mph.
Precipitation changing to all snow Sunday as intensity increases with the heaviest snowfall late Sunday into Monday morning.
A State of Emergency is in effect in the Village of Babylon due to this intense storm.
******All cars must remain off the streets so emergency vehicles if needed can fully access streets safely. This also greatly helps our snow plows clear the streets properly.
Please note: Code Enforcement will be issuing summonses should vehicles remain on the streets and roadways that become a detriment for plowing, safety and emergency vehicles.******
Village municipal parking lots are available for parking during this time.
Please use the municipal lots at James Street (behind Gemellis), George Street, S. Carll Avenue (across from the Babylon Public Library) and the lot behind Bunger Surf Shop.
You will not be ticketed but we ask to please be sure to place a note in the driver's side windshield as to your parking during the storm.
