To our Village of Babylon Residents: Please be advised that roadwork has been scheduled for this upcoming week beginning Monday, April 20th, 2026 at 7:00 am.
The streets that are part of this Phase 1 roadwork are :
Willow Street to Prospect, Shore Road to Robbins Avenue, Sumpwams Place (to the dead end), Ernest Place (to the dead end), Mortimer Avenue, Edward Avenue, Virginia Road (from Shore Road to Fire Island Avenue), Robbins Avenue (from Shore Road to Fire Island Avenue).
Weather permitting, the milling of the roads is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, April 20th and 21st with paving scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, April 22nd and 23rd, 2026.
Residents will have access to their driveways and properties. Notices will be given to homes in this area affected by roadwork by the construction crews and crews will also be directing traffic as well as having signage for detouring during the roadwork process.
***Please plan to have all vehicles off these roads during the hours of 7:00 am - 4:00 pm until the paving is complete.
