District Administrative Judge Hon. Andrew Crecca is pleased to share that the Suffolk County Courts, with the support and assistance of the Touro Law Center, are launching the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service program, which will offer *free legal services to the public* for one day on Friday, January 23, 2026, in the Central Jury Room at the John P. Cohalan Jr. Court Complex in Central Islip in honor of Dr. King’s legacy of service and civic engagement.

The court is asking for help in promoting this important day. The Day of Service program is a new opportunity in the courthouse for the public to be assisted in completing and filing documents necessary to commence select cases in Family Court or Supreme Court. *Participation requires pre-registration.* To see its full reach and effect, therefore, we are reaching out to ask for your assistance in helping spread the word about this important initiative.
