A strong Nor'easter will be arriving into our area on Sunday, October 12th, 2025 and continuing into Monday, October 13th. Heavy rains, strong winds and some coastal flooding is anticipated.
The National Weather Service has issued a high wind watch for our area beginning on Sunday and through late Sunday evening.
For our South of Montauk waterfront community residents, potential flooding may occur.
Village of Babylon Municipal Lots are available should you wish to secure your car from flooding.
Please use the municipal lots at James Street (behind Gemellis), George Street, S. Carll Avenue (across from The Babylon Public Library) and the lot behind Bunger Surf Shop.
Please be sure to place a note in the driver's side windshield as to your parking there during the storm.
For our boat owners, please check all boat lines and make certain everything is secure at your boat slip.
Please also make certain that all loose objects or outdoor furniture is secured as well.
