153 WEST MAIN STREET, BABYLON, NEW YORK,
ON TUESDAY,
NOVEMBER 23, 2021

The meeting opened at 7:15 p.m.
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Trustee Cardali.
The Village Clerk read the legal notice:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Babylon will hold a Public Hearing at the Municipal Building, 153 West Main Street, Babylon, NY, on Tuesday, November 23rd, 2021, at 7:00 PM, or as soon thereafter as can be heard, to consider the adoption of Proposed Local Law #12 of the year 2021 to amend Village Code Chapter §343-67, IX, to add stop signs at the following intersections:
- on Siegel Boulevard at the intersection of Roosevelt Street
and
- on Fire Island Avenue at the intersection of North Rd.
Complete text of the above Local Law is available in the Office of the Village Clerk, on the Village website: www.villageofbabylonny.gov, or can be requested by calling the Village Clerk’s Office at (631) 669-1500.
All interested persons should appear at the above time and place, and they will be given an opportunity to be heard.
The mayor explained that this local law was in the best interest of safety for residents and children in the area. The Board was in favor of this local law that will improve the safety of our streets.
The meeting was opened to the public; no one spoke for or against this local law.
On the motion of Trustee Seibert, seconded by Trustee Silvestri and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to reserve decision.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Babylon will hold a Public Hearing at the Municipal Building, 153 West Main Street, Babylon, NY, on Tuesday, November 23rd, 2021, at 7:00 PM, or as soon thereafter as can be heard, to consider the adoption of proposed Local Law #13 of the year 2021 to opt out of allowing Cannabis Retail Dispensaries and on-site consumption as authorized under Cannabis Law Article 4.
Complete text of the above Local Law is available in the Office of the Village Clerk, on the Village website: www.villageofbabylonny.gov, or can be requested by calling the Village Clerk’s Office at (631) 669-1500.
All interested persons should appear at the above time and place, and they will be given an opportunity to be heard.
The mayor explained that it was in the best interest of the Village to opt out of the law passed by the State of New York. The Board was all in favor and supported this decision.
The meeting was opened to the public; no one spoke for or against this local law.
On the motion of Trustee Seibert, seconded by Trustee Silvestri and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to reserve decision.
On the motion of Trustee Seibert, seconded by Trustee Silvestri and unanimously carried, the hearing adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
