ON TUESDAY,

JANUARY 11, 2022

The meeting opened at 7:04 p.m.

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Trustee Cardali.

The Village Clerk read the legal notice:

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Babylon will hold a Public Hearing at the Municipal Building, 153 West Main Street, Babylon, NY, on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as can be heard to consider the adoption of proposed Local Law of 2022 to amend Village Code Chapter §210-7 C to require landscapers to remove and dispose of all landscaping debris.

Complete text of the above Local Law is available in the Office of the Village Clerk, on the Village website: www.villageofbabylonny.gov, or can be requested by calling the Village Clerk’s Office at (631) 669-1500.

Mayor Adams explained that the current code does not address the removal of landscaping debris. The change proposed with this local law will require landscapers to remove all landscaping debris; the Village Highway and Sanitation Department will not dispose of it.

On the motion of Trustee Seibert, seconded by Trustee Silvestri and unanimously carried, it was

RESOLVED to reserve decision.

Mayor Adams explained that current code does not address commercial vehicles parking on Village streets overnight; the change proposed with this local law will prohibit it.

On the motion of Trustee Seibert, seconded by Trustee Silvestri and unanimously carried, it was

RESOLVED to reserve decision.

On the motion of Trustee Seibert, seconded by Trustee Silvestri and unanimously carried, the hearing adjourned at 7:09 p.m.
