Public Hearing February 14, 2023 Proposed Local Laws Tax Cap & Stop Intersection
A work session of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Babylon was held in the upstairs conference room on TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 2023. Present were: Mayor Adams, Trustee Seibert, Trustee Cardali, Trustee Miga, and Village Attorney Matthew McDonough. Absent: Trustee Bencivenga.
On the motion of Trustee Seibert, seconded by Trustee Miga and unanimously carried, the work session opened at 6:11 PM. On the motion of Trustee Seibert, seconded by Trustee Cardali and unanimously carried, the work session was ended at 9:11 PM.

The meeting opened at 7:00 p.m.
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Trustee Seibert.
The Village Clerk read the legal notice:
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a Public Hearing will be held at the Municipal Building, 153 West Main Street, Babylon, NY, on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as can be heard to consider the adoption of proposed Local Law 0214PH-Tax Cap of 2023, authorizing a property tax levy increase in excess of the limit established in General Municipal Law §3-c.
Complete text of the above Local Law is available in the Office of the Village Clerk, on the Village website: www.villageofbabylonny.gov, or can be requested by calling the Village Clerk’s Office at (631) 669-1500.
All interested persons should appear at the above time and place, and they will be given an opportunity to be heard.
In the Board’s discussion, it was said that this is not a tax hike; this local law is just a formality and is there to be available if needed.
On the motion of Trustee Seibert, seconded by Trustee Miga and unanimously carried, it was

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Babylon will hold a Public Hearing at the Municipal Building, 153 West Main Street, Babylon, NY, on Tuesday, February 14th, 2023, at 7:00 PM, or as soon thereafter as can be heard, to consider the adoption of proposed Local Law 0214PH 343-67 of the year 2023 to amend Village Code Chapter §343-67, IX, to add stop signs at the following intersections:
on Beachwood Drive at the intersection of West Gate
