Public Hearing December 13, 2022 Proposed Local Laws 1213PH of 2023; Speed Limits and Veteran Parking
A work session was held by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Babylon on TUESDAY, DECEMBER 13, 2022. On the motion of Trustee Bencivenga, seconded by Trustee Seibert and unanimously carried, the meeting opened at 6:30 PM. On the motion of Trustee Cardali, seconded by Trustee Bencivenga, the Board recessed until after the public hearing.

The Village Clerk read the legal notice:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Babylon will hold a Public Hearing at the Municipal Building, 153 West Main Street, Babylon, NY, on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at 7:00 PM, or as soon thereafter as can be heard, to consider the adoption of proposed Local Law 1213PH 343-9 of the year 2022 to amend Village Code Chapter §343-9 to reduce the speed limit in the Village of Babylon.
Complete text of the above Local Law is available in the Office of the Village Clerk, on the Village website: www.villageofbabylonny.gov, or can be requested by calling the Village Clerk’s Office at (631) 669-1500.
All interested persons should appear at the above time and place and they will be given an opportunity to be heard.
The Board felt this proposed local law may help to reduce speeding throughout the village and residential streets.

On the motion of Trustee Seibert, seconded by Trustee Miga and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to reserve decision.

Mayor Adams explained that the Board of Trustees has been discussing offering Veteran Parking Permits to thank Veterans for their services.

RESOLVED to reserve decision.
On the motion of Trustee Seibert, seconded by Trustee Miga and unanimously carried, the public hearing was adjourned at 7:16 PM.
