A work session of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Babylon was held in the upstairs conference room on WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 22, 2025. Present: Mayor Adams, Trustee Seibert, Trustee Bencivenga, Trustee Cardali, and Attorney Casolaro. On the motion of Trustee Bencivenga, seconded by Trustee Cardali and unanimously carried, the work session opened at 6:00 PM. On the motion of Trustee Bencivenga, seconded by Trustee Seibert and unanimously carried, the work session ended at 7:43 PM.

Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees opened at 8:03 PM.
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Trustee Cardali.
On the motion of Trustee Seibert, seconded by Trustee Bencivenga and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to approve the minutes of the October 14, 2025 regular meeting of the Board of Trustees and dispense with the reading of the same.
The Village Clerk read the letter from the Fire Department:

RESOLVED to accept the Fire Department actions as read.
On the motion of Trustee Seibert, seconded by Trustee Bencivenga and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to give Steven Lichioveri a stipend of $3.00 per hour for EMS support effective November 1, 2025.
On the motion of Trustee Seibert, seconded by Trustee Bencivenga and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to approve the following warrant for October 21, 2025:

On the motion of Trustee Bencivenga, seconded by Trustee Cardali and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to grant permission to Girl Scout Troop #75 to use the Park Avenue tennis court parking lot (southeast courts) to sell Girl Scout nuts on Saturday, November 8, 2025 from 10:00AM – 1:00 PM. This permission is granted contingent upon timely receipt of the required certificate of insurance with the Village of Babylon listed as an additional insured and a signed and notarized hold harmless agreement.

RESOLVED to remove the exemptions as per the attached Assessor Petitions and bill the current owner(s) the Exempt Property Restoration for the 2025 Tax Year as indicated on the attached chart:

On the motion of Trustee Cardali, seconded by Trustee Bencivenga and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to hold Shed the Meds on November 1, 2025 from 10am to 2pm at the Village Pharmacy, 124 E. Main Street, Suite 103.
On the motion of Trustee Cardali, seconded by Trustee Bencivenga and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to accept the resignation of Mary Beth Briordy effective October 31, 2025.
The following announcements were made:
Trustee Seibert stated that the rest of the equipment has been installed at the George Street playground. Stowe Avenue playground should be completed by Spring.
Trustee Bencivenga announced the last tee time is now 4:30 PM; next week will be at 3:30 PM due to daylight savings time. Christmas Boat parade is Saturday, November 22nd. Boating season ends November 30th, winter mooring starts December 1st.
Trustee Cardali thanked the Highway Department for clearing the storm drains.
Mayor Adams reminded Village offices will be closed & no trash pickup on November 11th in observance of Veteran’s Day. The next Board meeting will be held Wednesday, November 12th.
The meeting was opened to the public and the following people addressed the Board.
