A work session of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Babylon was held in the upstairs conference room on MONDAY, NOVEMBER 24, 2025. Present: Mayor Adams, Trustee Seibert, Trustee Bencivenga, Trustee Cardali and Trustee Szabo. Absent: Attorney Casolaro. On the motion of Trustee Bencivenga, seconded by Trustee Szabo and unanimously carried, the work session opened at 7:20 PM. On the motion of Trustee Cardali, seconded by Trustee Bencivenga and unanimously carried, the work session ended at 8:02 PM.

Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees opened at 8:04 PM.
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Trustee Bencivenga.
On the motion of Trustee Seibert, seconded by Trustee Szabo and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to approve the minutes of the November 12th, 2025 regular meeting of the Board of Trustees and dispense with the reading of the same.
The Village Clerk read the following letter from the Fire Department:
At the regular monthly meeting of the Fire Council held November 18th, 2025 the Fire Council took the following actions and we await your approval:

On the motion of Trustee Seibert, seconded by Trustee Szabo and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to accept the Fire Department actions as read.
On the motion of Trustee Seibert, seconded by Trustee Szabo and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to accept the resignation of Najee Okomba, full time sanitation employee, effective 11/11/2025.
On the motion of Trustee Bencivenga, seconded by Trustee Cardali and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to issue a refund in the amount of $23.81 to CoreLogic for overpayment of 2025-2026 taxes on the property located at 24 Smith Street. [007-01-040]
Trustee Cardali read the following and polled the Board:
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held on Monday, November 24, 2025,
RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Babylon is the Lead Agency regarding
proposed Local Law 1125PH of 2025 – shall add Chapter 291 – Tents
And
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees has determined this action will not have an adverse impact on the environment,
And
BE IT HEREBY ENACTED that the following Local Law, proposed as Local Law 1125PH of 2025- shall add Chapter 291 – Tents, is HEREBY ADOPTED as:
Local Law # 7 of 2025, Chapter 291 – Tents
Trustee Cardali noted the $100 fee stated in the law will now be $50.

On the motion of Trustee Szabo, seconded by Trustee Seibert and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to approve the following warrant for November 24, 2025:
GENERAL ACCOUNT: $ 876,579.96
TOTAL GENERAL FUND: $ 876,579.96
TRUST FUND: $ 500.00
TOTAL: $ 390,725.02
The following announcements were made:
- Trustee Seibert stated that the 2nd Annual Pumpkin Smash was a success. He also reminded all that the Village’s Annual Tree Lighting is Sunday, December 7th at 4PM.
- Trustee Bencivenga announced the last day of the season for the Golf Course will be Wednesday, November 26th. Boating season will have a grace period to December 7th and boats should be out of the water by then. Trustee Bencivenga also thanked the residents for the donations to the food drive organized by Town of Babylon Councilman Anthony Manetta and Mayor Adams.
- Trustee Cardali mentioned summer employment applications will be available in February. He also wished everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.
- Trustee Szabo stated a lot is happening at the Conklin House - Holiday Cookie Contest- December 4th (drop off between 4-6PM); Friday night, December 5th is Old-Fashioned Night of Shopping, and the Conklin House will be open from 6-9PM. Raffle tickets will be available to win tickets for “Dinner for 8”. Trustee Szabo also wished everyone a Happy Thanksgiving,
- · Mayor Adams announced this Saturday is Small Business Saturday -support our local stores all day
The meeting was opened to the public, and the following person addressed the Board.
