A work session was held by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Babylon on Tuesday, October 31, 2017. On the motion of Trustee Muldowney, seconded by Trustee Davida and unanimously carried, the meeting opened at 4:12 p.m. On the motion of Trustee Muldowney, seconded by Trustee Basile and unanimously carried, the meeting adjourned at 4:56p.m.

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Trustee Basile.
The Village Clerk read the legal notice:
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a Public Hearing will be held at the Municipal Building, 153 West Main Street, Babylon, NY, on Tuesday, November 14th, 2017, at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as can be heard to consider the adoption of Local Law #11 of the year 2017, amending Chapter 343-1-3 pertaining to traffic offenses.
Complete text of the above Local Law is available in the office of the Village Clerk.
All interested persons should appear at the above time and place, and they will be given an opportunity to be heard.
The Mayor explained the need to amend Chapter 343-1-3 was because the current Chapter 343-1-3 is repetitious of State code.
All Board members were in agreement with the changes proposed to Chapter 343-1-3.
The meeting was opened to the public; the following resident addressed the Board:
Jerry Miskovsky, 55 Washington Street; expressed concern that the proposed text would limit the types of summonses that could be written by Village Code Enforcement Officers and about the way prior Local Laws were handled. He inquired about the possibility of publishing the text of proposed Local Laws or posting the text on the website.
On the motion of Trustee Muldowney, seconded by Trustee Basile and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to reserve decision.
