REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF BABYLON WAS HELD IN THE BOARDROOM,
153 WEST MAIN STREET BABYLON, NEW YORK, ON TUESDAY,

Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees opened at 8:02 p.m.
The Pledge of Allegiance was lead by Trustee Basile.
On the motion of Mayor Scordino, seconded by Trustee Muldowney and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to approve the minutes of the September 23rd, 2014 regular meeting of the Board of Trustees and dispense with the reading of the same.
On the motion of Trustee Muldowney, seconded by Trustee Basile and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to appoint Richard Tesoro as an alternate member of the Planning Board for a five year term which will expire in October of 2019.
On the motion of Trustee Muldowney, seconded by Trustee Basile and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to grant permission to the Babylon American Legion Post 94 to hold their annual Veterans Day Parade on Tuesday, November 11th, 2014. The parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. at Foster Blvd. and Deer Park Avenue, proceed south on Deer Park Avenue, head west on Montauk Highway, to North Carll Avenue, then east on Grove Place to Babylon Post 94, where the ceremony will be held.
On the motion of Trustee Muldowney, seconded by Trustee Basile and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to hire Christopher Diorio as a highway laborer with a salary of $8.50 per hour, effective September 29, 2014.
On the motion of Trustee Muldowney, seconded by Trustee Basile and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to remove the current exemption and restore full assessment to the property below, and bill the new owner accordingly, for the 2014/15 Tax Year.
Section 10 Block 2 Lot 24; 54 GEORGE STREET – formerly owned by the Babylon Assembly of God, n/k/a Gateway Life Center, an Exempt Property Exemption, with an assessed value of 5315, and bill the new owner, TLC Realty of Babylon LLC, a total of $ 793.53 for the 2014/15 Tax Year
On the motion of Trustee Davida, seconded by Trustee Amelia and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to accept the resignation of Joseph Fraccalvieri as a highway laborer effective September 15, 2014.
On the motion of Trustee Davida, seconded by Trustee Amelia and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to grant permission to Herbert Hemendinger to maintain temporary signs at various locations in the Village of Babylon from October 6, 2014 to November 4, 2014, with the following wording:
Boyle for NYS Senate
Saladino for NYS Assembly
King for U.S. Congress
On the motion of Trustee Davida, seconded by Trustee Amelia and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED that pursuant to New York State General Municipal Law section 104(b), Mayor RALPH SCORDINO, the TRUSTEES, PATRICIA CARLEY, Village Clerk, IRENE IVANOFF, Justice Court Clerk, CHARLES GARDNER, Superintendent of Public Works, SUZANNE SCHETTINO, DEBORAH LONGO, THOMAS STEFFANN, and MICHAEL SASUK and SCOTT GLENN of the Babylon Village Fire Department, are responsible for purchasing.
On the motion of Trustee Davida, seconded by Trustee Amelia and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to approve the following warrant for October 14, 2014:
General Account: $ 474,281.04
Total General Fund: $ 474,281.04
Trust Fund: $ 6,319.03
TOTAL: $ 480,600.07
On the motion of Trustee Basile, seconded by Trustee Muldowney and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to grant permission to the Babylon Junior-Senior High School to hold the Homecoming Parade at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2014. The parade will start in the Municipal parking lot behind Gemelli’s, head west on Main Street, turn North onto Carll Avenue, to Carlston Place, and proceed onto the track through the south-east gate of the field.
On the motion of Trustee Basile, seconded by Trustee Muldowney and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to issue a refund in the amount of $25.00 to Leo DeNicola, LCJ&J, LLC, for the return of one (1) Board of Trustees sign for partial refund.

On the motion of Trustee Basile, seconded by Trustee Muldowney and unanimously carried,
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED pursuant to General Municipal Law§5, to authorize the Village Clerk’s Office to accept payments by credit card.
AND BE IT RESOLVED, pursuant to General Municipal Law §5-b, to enter into an agreement with Municpay, as the vendor to facilitate credit card and electronic check payments, at a fee of 2.45%, to be paid by the purchaser.
ALSO BE IT RESOLVED to accept on-line credit card and electronic check payments for Tax payments only.
Trustee Basile announced that this weekend, October 17th, 18th, and 19th, is the Apples and Arts Festival at the Conklin House.
On the motion of Trustee Amelia, seconded by Trustee Davida and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to issue refunds in the amount of $25.00 to each of the applicants listed below for the return of one (1) ZBA sign for partial refund:
