A work session was held by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Babylon on Tuesday, May 8, 2018. On the motion of Trustee Muldowney, seconded by Trustee Basile and unanimously carried, the meeting opened at 7:40 p.m. On the motion of Trustee Davida, seconded by Trustee Adams and unanimously carried, the meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.

Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees opened at 8:03 p.m.
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Trustee Muldowney.
On the motion of Mayor Scordino, seconded by Trustee Muldowney and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to approve the minutes of the April 24, 2018, regular meeting of the Board of Trustees and dispense with the reading of the same.
On the motion of Trustee Basile, seconded by Trustee Muldowney and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to grant permission to the Babylon Public Library to hold the following events:

This permission is granted contingent upon timely receipt of the required Certificates of Insurance with the Village of Babylon listed as an ‘Additional Insured’, as well as a signed and notarized ‘Hold Harmless’ agreement.
On the motion of Trustee Basile, seconded by Trustee Muldowney and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to make the assessment correction as per the attached Assessor Petition.

With a heavy heart and sadness Trustee Basile announced the passing of Conklin House Steering Committee member, Larry Nye; he will be missed as a resident, neighbor, and friend.
On the motion of Trustee Adams, seconded by Trustee Davida and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to grant permission to the residents of East Shore Drive to hold a Block Party on Saturday, August 18, 2018, from 12:00 Noon to 11:00 p.m., with a rain date of Saturday, August 25, 2018. The street will be blocked between Little East Neck Rd. South and East Harrison Avenue, subject to parking restrictions for emergency purposes.
On the motion of Trustee Adams, seconded by Trustee Davida and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to grant permission to the Babylon Village Arts Council to hold movie nights at the Gazebo at 7:30 pm on August 1st and 8th, 2018. (Rain date August 29, 2018).
ALSO RESOLVED to permit the Arts Council to contract with a popcorn vendor to distribute free popcorn at these events.
This permission is granted contingent upon timely receipt of the required Certificates of Insurance [from both the Babylon Village Arts Council and the Popcorn Vendor] with the Village of Babylon listed as an ‘Additional Insured’, as well as signed and notarized ‘Hold Harmless’ agreements.

On the motion of Trustee Davida, seconded by Trustee Adams and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to issue refunds in the amounts indicated to each of the applicants listed below for the return of ZBA sign(s) for partial refund:

On the motion of Trustee Davida, seconded by Trustee Adams and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to grant permission to the Long Island Youth Club to fundraise in the Village of Babylon on Saturday, May 12th, 2018, with the following conditions:
- Fundraising activities may be conducted from Noon until 4:00 p.m.
- All Volunteers must wear Long Island Youth Club identification badges at all times.
On the motion of Trustee Muldowney, seconded by Trustee Basile and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to approve the following warrant for May 8th, 2018:

On the motion of Trustee Muldowney, seconded by Trustee Basile and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to issue a refund in the amount of $90.00 to Amanda Reilly & Daniel DiStefano for switching from Main Dock boat berth #8024 to sublet East Creek berth #4019.
On the motion of Trustee Muldowney, seconded by Trustee Basile and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to increase the annual salary of Jaime Cruz $1,000.00 effective April 30, 2018, having completed his six month probationary period.
On the motion of Mayor Scordino, seconded by Trustee Muldowney and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to schedule a Public Hearing to be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22nd, 2018, to consider the adoption of Local Law #2 of 2018, a Local Law confirming a restaurant moratorium.
On the motion of Mayor Scordino, seconded by Trustee Muldowney and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to accept the attached Stormwater Management MS4 Annual Report for the period ending March 9, 2018, available for review tonight, as well as on the Village website and in the Office of the Village Clerk during regular business hours.
On the motion of Mayor Scordino, seconded by Trustee Muldowney and unanimously carried,
WHEREAS a Public Hearing was held on Tuesday, May 8, 2018,
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED to approve the application of Sal Cataldo to expand the menu of Long Island Beach Bowls, 14B Railroad Ave.
