A work session was held by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Babylon on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. On the motion of Trustee Davida, seconded by Trustee Adams and unanimously carried, the meeting opened at 8:20 p.m. On the motion of Trustee Adams, seconded by Trustee Davida and unanimously carried, the meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m.

On the motion of Mayor Scordino, seconded by Trustee Davida and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to approve the minutes of the March 14th, 2017, regular meeting of the Board of Trustees and dispense with the reading of the same.
The Village Clerk read the letter from the Fire Department dated March 22, 2017:

On the motion of Trustee Davida, seconded by Trustee Adams and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to accept the Fire Department actions as read.
On the motion of Trustee Adams, seconded by Trustee Davida and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to transfer Margaret O’Sullivan from the Green House to Code Enforcement effective March 28, 2017. She will remain a part-time employee with no change in salary.
On the motion of Trustee Adams, seconded by Trustee Davida and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to add property maintenance charges in the amount of $450.00 to the 2017/18 tax bill for 24 Paumanake Avenue. [Section 007 / Block 01 / Lot 005]
On the motion of Trustee Adams, seconded by Trustee Davida and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to issue a refund in the amount of $120.00 to Robert Consola for overpayment of Boat Slip #38 at Main Dock.
On the motion of Trustee Adams, seconded by Trustee Davida and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to grant permission to the Greater Long Island Running Club to stage their 10K Suffolk Training Run on Thursday, July 27th, 2017 at 6:30 p.m., meeting at the Tennis Courts and proceeding on the Southard’s Pond Trail. This permission is granted contingent upon timely receipt of the required Certificates of Insurance with the Village of Babylon listed an ‘Additional Insured’, as well as a signed & notarized ‘Hold Harmless’ Agreement.
On the motion of Trustee Davida, seconded by Trustee Adams and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to hire Luigi Della Monica as a full-time Sanitation Laborer with an annual salary of $29,120.00, effective March 13, 2017.
On the motion of Trustee Davida, seconded by Trustee Adams and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to issue a refund in the amount of $60.00 to Benjamin Bring for switching from slip #2 at South East Lewis Pond to slip #45 at Boynes Canal.
On the motion of Trustee Davida, seconded by Trustee Adams and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to issue refunds in the amounts indicated to each of the applicants listed for the return of ZBA sign(s) for partial refund:

Mayor Scordino made the following announcement:
The Budget for the 2017 – 2018 Fiscal Year was received by the Village Clerk from the Village Treasurer on March 20, 2017, and has hereby been presented to the Board by the Village Clerk.
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: The Annual Budget Hearing will be held on Monday, April 3, 2017, at 7:00 p.m., where comments relating to the Tentative Budget will be heard. Immediately following the Budget Hearing, the Annual Organizational Meeting will be held.
The meeting was opened to the public; no one addressed the Board.
