A work session was held by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Babylon on Tuesday, June 4, 2013. On the motion of Trustee Amelia, seconded by Trustee Davida, and unanimously carried, the meeting was opened at 4:25p.m. On the motion of Trustee Amelia, seconded by Trustee Davida, and unanimously carried, the meeting was adjourned at 6:35p.m.

Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees opened at 8:00 p.m.
The Pledge of Allegiance was lead by Trustee Basile
On the motion of Mayor Scordino, seconded by Trustee Muldowney and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to approve the minutes of the May 28, 2013 regular Board of Trustees meeting and dispense with the reading of the same.
On the motion of Trustee Basile, seconded by Trustee Muldowney and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to grant permission to the Babylon Village Chamber of Commerce to hold Summer Saturday Sidewalk Sales, from July 6th, 2013, through August 31st, 2013, with one appropriate music performance each Saturday afternoon. These performances would be similar to those employed for the Spring Fling and would possibly be staged at one of three locations: in front of Fitness Incentive, the lawn area at Lo-Man Outdoor, and / or the Monsoon parking area.
On the motion of Trustee Basile, seconded by Trustee Muldowney and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees will act as Lead Agency for the purpose of the State Environmental Quality Review of the proposed project to install three directional kiosks in the Municipal Parking field within the Business District.
On the motion of Trustee Basile, seconded by Trustee Muldowney and unanimously carried,
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Incorporated Village of Babylon are Lead Agency for the purpose of the State Environmental Quality Review of the proposed project to install three directional kiosks in the Municipal Parking Lot within the Business District;
BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees in their capacity as Lead Agency hereby Declare a Negative Declaration of Impact based on the information provided in the Environmental Assessment Form.
On the motion of Trustee Basile, seconded by Trustee Muldowney and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to terminate the employment of Norris Manago as a part time Sanitation Laborer effective May 20, 2013.
On the motion of Trustee Muldowney, seconded by Trustee Basile and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to issue refund in the amount of $550 to Joseph A. Mineo for boat berth #39 at Boynes Canal, as he will be subletting his slip for the 2013 season.
On the motion of Trustee Muldowney, seconded by Trustee Basile and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to issue refund in the amount of $500 to Edward Taylor, 327 Litchfield Ave., for boat berth #19 at Boynes Canal, as he will be subletting his slip for the 2013 season.
On the motion of Trustee Muldowney, seconded by Trustee Basile and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to hire Philip Brown as a full time Sanitation Laborer with an annual salary of $20,800 effective May 28, 2013.
On the motion of Trustee Muldowney, seconded by Trustee Basile and unanimously carried,
WHEREAS a Bid Opening was held on Thursday, May 9, 2013 , for the Lewis Pond/Boynes Canal Bulkhead Replacement and Site Improvements,
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED to award the bid to:

Trustee Muldowney commented on the progress at the golf course; He noted that the trailer has been removed and the building will be open in approximately two to three weeks. Weather permitting, the parking lot will be paved this week. He clarified that the golf course is open while this work is being done.

On the motion of Trustee Davida, seconded by Trustee Amelia and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to grant permission to Molto Vino to have saxophone player Tony Carfora perform on June 20th, 2013, from 7:00p.m. to 10:00p.m.
Trustee Davida commented on the progress at the pool, noting the delays due to problems with suppliers delivering to contractors. He announced that the pool will not open on June 22nd as planned; we are now looking to open on July 6th.

On the motion of Trustee Amelia, seconded by Trustee Davida and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to grant permission to the residents of Paumanake Avenue to hold a Block Party on Saturday, July 20th, 2013, from 3:00p.m. to 10:00p.m., with a rain date of Saturday, August 10th, 2013. The street will be blocked between Wampum Avenue and Wigwam Path, subject to parking restrictions for emergency purposes.

RESOLVED to approve the application of Robert Arbaiza to drive a taxi cab in the Village of Babylon for Sunset Taxi.
