On the motion of Trustee Silvestri, seconded by Trustee Muldowney and unanimously carried, the meeting opened at 4:04 p.m. On the motion of Trustee Adams, seconded by Trustee Silvestri and unanimously carried, the work session ended at 5:08 p.m.

RESOLVED to grant permission to Babylon Jr.-Sr. High School to use the Park Avenue tennis courts (north and south side) from August 24th through November 6th, 2020, between 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., for the Junior Varsity and Junior High Girls Tennis Teams’ Fall Season. This permission is granted contingent upon timely receipt of the required certificates of insurance with the Village of Babylon listed as an additional insured, as well as a signed & notarized hold harmless agreement.

Trustee Silvestri commented that the Mindful Movement classes are going well. They are being run by Positions Dance Studio and held on the Conklin House lawn on Tuesday mornings at 7:00 a.m. through August 26th. The cost is $5.00 per session; sign up through Eventbrite.
On the motion of Trustee Davida, seconded by Trustee Adams and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to hire John Broderick as a Parking Meter Officer with an annual salary of $41,600.00 effective July 6, 2020.

Trustee Davida commented that for the health and safety of all of our residents the pool did not open this year, however, a tremendous amount of work is getting done at the pool this summer. Trustee Davida also commented that the 2020 S.T.O.P. Day will be announced at the next Board meeting.
On the motion of Trustee Muldowney, seconded by Trustee Silvestri and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to grant the request of Deborah Longo to retire from the Village of Babylon effective August 1, 2020.
On the motion of Trustee Muldowney, seconded by Trustee Silvestri and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to issue a refund in the amount of $300.00 to Peter Curry as he is giving up his sublet of East Creek slip #99 for the remainder of the 2020 boating season as of July 22, 2020.
On the motion of Trustee Muldowney, seconded by Trustee Silvestri and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to issue a refund in the amount of $8.16 to Steven Grant, Trustee of the Claudette Grant Trust, for overpayment of 2020 Taxes on the property located at 38 Woodrow Parkway. [005–01–011.001]
On the motion of Trustee Muldowney, seconded by Trustee Silvestri and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to schedule a Public Hearing to be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11th, 2020 by video conference to consider the application of Frances Beiro of Noa Mar Markets, 238 Deer Park Avenue, to convert to a restaurant. The public can view the livestream video conference from a link on the Village website, www.villageofbabylonny.gov, and will have 14 days after the hearing to comment by mail or email.
Trustee Muldowney commented that the Golf Course is doing very well despite the heat wave we are experiencing. The Junior Clinic being run by Mike Reilly is going very well.
The Mayor made the following announcements:
- The Public Hearing regarding Tres Palms originally scheduled for 7:00 p.m. July 28, 2020 has been postponed until September 8th, 2020 at 7:00 p.m.
- Please be advised that there will be no second Board meeting in August.
