Pursuant to Resolution adopted by the Village Board:

SEALED proposals will be received by the Village Clerk of the Village of Babylon at 153 West Main Street, Babylon, New York, 11702 on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. at which time they will be publicly opened and read and the Contract awarded as soon thereafter as practicable for the:

VILLAGE OF BABYLON

RAISING OF 25 EAST SHORE DRIVE

The Village is seeking proposals from qualified Architectural/Engineering firms to provide design services for the raising of 25 East Shore Drive, Babylon, NY.  Services include architectural and engineering plans and construction documents for the raising of an existing residence.  All work to be in conformance with Village of Babylon, FEMA, NFIP and ASCE requirements.  The required completion time for the construction documents will be two weeks from award to the lowest, responsible bidder.

Please submit one (1) original (marked) and four (4) copies of the technical and cost proposals as well as one (1) CD or flash drive containing an electronic copy of the technical and cost proposal. Proposals should be made in sealed envelopes clearly marked “Village of Babylon - Raising of 25 East Shore Drive”. Said bids will be opened and read aloud at the above stated time.

A non-refundable deposit of $50.00 is required for each set of proposal documents. Checks are to be made payable to the Village of Babylon.

Each proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check made payable to the Village of Babylon in the amount of five hundred dollars ($500.00) for bid security.

The Village will not reimburse any individual(s) or firm(s) for any costs associated with the preparation of their proposal.

The Village of Babylon encourages minority and women owned businesses to participate in all bids.

The Village of Babylon reserves the right to waive any informalities in Bidding and to reject any and all bids or to accept any Bid, which in the opinion of the Board, will be in the best interest of the Village.
