Pursuant to Resolution adopted by the Village Board:
SEALED BIDS will be received by the Village Clerk of the Village of Babylon at 153 West Main Street, Babylon, New York, 11702 on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. at which time they will be publicly opened and read and the Contract awarded as soon thereafter as practicable for the:
VILLAGE OF BABYLON
ARGYLE FALLS RESTORATION REBID
This project includes the restoration of Argyle Falls in the Village of Babylon. Tasks include, but are not limited to: cement patchwork, concrete railing and baluster repair, concrete sidewalk repair and replacement, sandblasting and painting of concrete.
This project is funded in part by a grant from the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation through Title 9 of the Environmental Protection Act of 1993.
All bidders are subject to the terms of the NYS Master Contract for Grants -- Standard Terms and Conditions, which can be found online at http://grantsreform.ny.gov\.
Drawings and specifications may be examined and obtained at the Village Hall, between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM daily except Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays on and after Thursday, March 5, 2020.
A non-refundable deposit of $50.00 is required for each set of contract documents. Checks are to be made payable to the Village of Babylon.
Each proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check made payable to the Village of Babylon in the amount of five hundred dollars ($500.00) for bid security.
Bid proposals should be made in sealed envelopes clearly marked “Argyle Falls Restoration Rebid”. Said bids will be opened and read aloud at the above stated time.
The Village of Babylon encourages minority and women owned businesses to participate in all bids.
The Village of Babylon reserves the right to waive any informalities in Bidding and to reject any and all bids or to accept any Bid, which in the opinion of the Board, will be in the best interest of the Village.
