Dear Residents,
Village tax bills were mailed Friday, May 12, 2023. As you may be aware, Suffolk County’s website was hacked back in August of 2022, so we have not received any deeds for new ownership since April 2022. Due to this, your tax bill may not reflect your name as the owner.
You are still responsible for your property’s tax bill, regardless of whose name is on it.
If you have purchased your home within the last year, please contact the Tax Receiver’s Office at (631)669-1500 and advise us of the necessary change, or if possible, provide us with a copy of your new deed and tax transfer pages via email to jparker@villageofbabylonny.gov.
If you believe your taxes may be paid by your bank, or if you are not sure they are, please contact our office to double check that they are coded to a bank. If your payment is not made on time, you will pay a late penalty, which cannot be waived.
