BOARD OF APPEALS

VILLAGE OF BABYLON

PURSUANT to the provisions of Article VII of the Building Zone Ordinance of the Village of Babylon, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Appeals of the Village of Babylon will hold a public hearing at 7:30 P.M. on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 in the Municipal Building, at 153 West Main Street, Babylon, New York to consider the following applications:

1. Application of Pride and Joy Childcare, 28 North Carll Avenue, Babylon, NY, for permission to operate a day care facility on the premises located at 28 North Carll Avenue, Babylon, NY. Property located in Residence O District, Suffolk County Real Property Tax Map District 0102, Section 9, Block 3, Lot 11 and 12.  Application made in accordance with Sections 365-17 and 365-35.  

2. Application of Silvio Castignoli, 325 Young Street, North Babylon, NY 11703, for permission to maintain a two-family dwelling on the premises located at 24 Robert Street, Babylon, NY.  Property located in Residence A-7 District, Suffolk County Real Property Tax Map District 0102, Section 8, Block 2, Lot 14.  Application made in accordance with Sections 365-15 and 365-35. 

3. Application of Dr. Michael Beck, 534 Deer Park Avenue, Babylon, NY, for permission to continue use of a portion of 534 Deer Park Avenue, Babylon, NY for a professional office.  Property located in Residence A-7 District, Suffolk County Real Property Tax Map District 0102, Section 3, Block 2, Lot 70.  Application made in accordance with Sections 365-15 and 365-35. 

4. Application of Nina Burke-Roy, 9 Post Place, Babylon, NY, for permission to maintain a retail business at the premises located at 9 Post Place, Babylon, NY.  Property located in Marine Commercial District, Suffolk County Real Property Tax Map District 0102, Section 19, Block 3, Lot 25.3.  Application made in accordance with Sections 365-19 and 365-35.  

5. Application of Christopher and Lauren Holbrook, 84 South Carll Avenue, Babylon, NY, for permission to construct additions to the dwelling on the premises located at 84 South Carll Avenue, Babylon, NY requiring variances to reduce the minimum side yard setback from 15 ft. required to 7.3 ft. proposed; to reduce the total side yard setback from 30 ft. required to 26.47 ft. proposed; and to increase the height limits from 30 ft. required to 31.88 ft. proposed.  Property located in Residence A-11 District, Suffolk County Real Property Tax Map District 0102, Section 13, Block 2, Lot 37.  Application made in accordance with Section 365-13.
