PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a Public Hearing will be held at the Municipal Building, 153 West Main Street, Babylon, NY, on Tuesday, October 24th, 2017, at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as can be heard to consider the adoption of Local Law #10 of the year 2017, amending Chapter 343 pertaining to Parking in the vicinity of Fire Island Avenue south of Merman Place, Nereid Place and East Court.

Complete text of the above Local Law is available in the office of the Village Clerk.

All interested persons should appear at the above time and place, and they will be given an opportunity to be heard.

The Mayor explained the reason for this hearing for proposed Local Law #10 of 2017 was because some changes were made to the original text to change the hours for no parking in the area.  All Board members agreed that this is a good start and hopefully it will help residents living in the affected areas.  Special parking permit decals will be issued to those residents to affix to their vehicles, as well as guest passes for their visitors to display in their windshields.

The meeting was opened to the public; the following resident(s) spoke in favor of this Local Law:

John & Kathy Fallon, 13 Nereid Place

(also speaking on behalf of neighbor, Haydee Trager, 11 East Court)

On the motion of Mayor Scordino, seconded by Trustee Muldowney and unanimously carried, it was

RESOLVED to reserve decision.

Meeting adjourned 7:10 p.m.
