The Village Clerk read the legal notice:

Pursuant to Resolution adopted by the Village Board:

SEALED BIDS will be received by the Village Clerk of the Village of Babylon at 153 West Main Street, Babylon, New York, 11702 on July 25, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. at which time they will be publicly opened and read and the Contracts awarded as soon thereafter as practicable for the:

VILLAGE OF BABYLON

SHORELINE STABILIZATION MATERIALS

This project includes the supply and delivery of shoreline stabilization materials to the Village of Babylon. Materials include gabion baskets, coir logs, bluestone, and boulders.

Drawings and specifications may be examined and obtained at the Village Hall, between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM daily except Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays on and after Thursday, July 11, 2019. 

A non-refundable deposit of $50.00 is required for each set of contract documents. Checks are to be made payable to the Village of Babylon. 

Bid proposals should be made in sealed envelopes clearly marked “Shoreline Stabilization Materials”. Said bids will be opened and read aloud at the above stated time.

Supplemental bidding requirements apply to this bid.  Special attention should be paid to this section of the Contract Book. 

A goal of 13% New York State Certified Minority Business and 17% New York State Certified Women Owned Business has been established for this project.  Bidders must demonstrate good-faith efforts to achieve these goals.  Additional information may be found in the Supplemental Bidding Requirements section of this Contract Book.

The Village of Babylon reserves the right to waive any informalities in Bidding and to reject any and all bids or to accept any Bid, which in the opinion of the Board, will be in the best interest of the Village.
